Viewing Portfolio

New day.....new issue...

I have made a "band-aid" type of fix for now on my artist page by putting a link into the artist description (under About on your account page) area as the very first item in bold lettering. But this is only a band-aid that will most likely fall off and re-open the wound. Here is the text:

To See My Entire Portfolio, Please Click Here:
<View Entire Portfolio> where this part has the long "link" embedded: http://www.pond5.com/stock-video-footage-sound-effects-music-after-effects-photos-illustrations-images-3d-models/1/artist%3Avadervideo.html

you can even add the ?ref=artistname to the end if you want to for referral money.

That is an example that should never be required. Knowing program code to do anything here as an Artist or buyer.

Andy, doesn't show for me when I tried.

Vader, I did that change since the day one of this issue but who knows how long we can link something there too?

So... if you find a clip from me by searching for something, and you click on 'view portfolio' on that clip, it takes you to that first page that then you cannot get to my full portfolio unless you know the artist:dapoopta search function.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that the team is aware of the portfolio visibility issue. I agree with the sentiment in this thread, that this song and dance of breaking things before they can be fixed, especially if they didn't need to be fixed, is both unnecessary and frustrating. We're making some mistakes, to say the least. But I want to reassure you that we intend to learn from those mistakes. Fail faster, as they say.

But yes, for now the artist:username trick is the only workaround. That shouldn't be the case for too much longer though.

Yet another issue pointed out to me by SevArt (thank you for you seeing this Sev) - On my links to "collections" only the first page shows goods from my collection. If one presses the "Next" arrow for the next page, a miscellaneous bunch of clips from god know where shows up, but definitely not from the specified collection. This is totally BS and needs to be fixed pronto! For example 4K UHD night storm Tucson Sahuarita time lapse wide 4k or 4k+ ResolutionHD 30p wide - Extreme and dynamic lightning storm Video HDEvil looking thunderstorm over mountain and valley approaches time lapse wide Video HDSunset, tree and lightning - abstract Video HDDust storm buildup during desert monsoon Video HDComposit of 3 strikes from POV Videosuper slo mo powerful lightning strike with joshua tree palm tree silhouettes Video HDTraffic coming out of storm at dusk VideoLightning Monsoon 2010 - City horizon lights up - 5 wide panorama Video HDPowerful lightning strikes from a dashboard cam series 2 - 8 Video HDHD Magenta night lightning storm over city Video HDextreme weather slo mo thunderhead cloud lightning sparks 1 Video HDLightning strikes in the mountains - extreme zoom in Video HD4K Video 30p - Lightning medley of an extreme storm 4k or 4k+ Resolution4K Video 30p - Super lightning storm 2010 series 1 4k or 4k+ ResolutionHD 24p wide Night clouds with subtle lightning flashes in time lapse Video HD2K 30p tight - v2 Lightning storm over Monument Valley, AZ Web FootageHD 30p tight - v1 Lightning storm over Monument Valley, AZ Video HDHD tight v2 mountain lightning storm intense time lapse bolts strikes monsoon Video HDHD 24p large thunderhead flashes behind palm tree tight time lapse Video HDextreme weather super slow mo night spider sheet lightning 960fps Video HDultra slow motion lightning strikes scientific research Video HDHD Night storm sublte lightning on the horizon Video HDsuper slo mo curly lightning branch and final strike Video HDIndustrial area lightning strike - 1 Video HD

or as the actual link:https://www.pond5.com/it/index.php?page=search&q=clipbin:5425 it shows the first page of the collection, but the results from the second page show: https://www.pond5.com/it/index.php?page=search&q=clipbin:5425#2

Fix this crap and quit breaking things without testing first!!

Andreas, a quick repair is to change the link from:

https://www.pond5.com/index.php?page=search&q=clipbin:5425

to

https://www.pond5.com/video-sound-effects-music-after-effects-photos-illustrations-3d-models/1/clipbin:5425
.html

It still is totally screwed up no matter how you get there. The minute you click on
"Next" for a supposed next page, it brings in totally random clips from everyone along with the "next" button showing 2 of over 200000 pages! Their internal pointers are totally hosed. This is just unacceptable. It defeats the whole purpose of having "bins" or "collections" that are being referenced from the various traffic driving sites many of us have created. We spend a lot of time building these portals to drive traffic and now it seems P5 doesn't take this seriously at all. This fix should be a priority hands down. What is it that we have to do to get these guys to realize this is a major issue?
