No views for new footage in ove two months

I wrote many-many times: it is completely useless to check all these statistics because we do not know for sure what they mean. Someone from P5 knows (may be), but not we.

It does seem that some individual artists think they know but you are right, little detailed information from P5. I understand keeping the search algorithm secret but the data stats should be described in detail. I used to believe they were accurate and valuable info, now seems they are not useable anymore.

Well having access to data that might represent your sales or viewership has done one thing on the forums...it has given people plenty to talk and gripe about!

The issue is in the past, last year the data made more sense. It was easier to understand and had some real meaning. Now it doesn't sound like anyone can understand the data or has any idea what it means or how it is accurate enough to use. Most comments are coming from old heads who actually did view and use the data. What was being looked at to help determine interest in different subject matter. To help evaluate if descriptions and keywords were helping to get views and or sales. If a clip had no views after a while it was a good thing to go back and review descriptions and keywords. Now having no views for months is normal but unlikely. P5 has always been great giving the artists access to data, now the data has significantly changed and we longer know what it means.

^ I think that with so many files the system does not have the sufficient power to count all stats properly - as Marcus said. It's the only problem. Look on file number last year and now how huge data to gather, count and display.
BTW I had 80 ATCs in last hour after 2 near frozen days, hope this time they are realistic in some percent :) I observed that it's rotating - one day I have ATCs mainly for fresh and 1 ATC files, another on files with 5-6 ATC and so on... looks like default match shaking and from time to time you are up or down :)

Here's a strange example. No views yet 9 ATC.

Wouldn't changing the description and keywords of a file be one of the causes of spam? I mean if the file drew attention to itself and garnered sales too why would you change things when that file ceases to be as profitable?

This discussion has nothing to do with files that have sold or are selling or have a good number of views. Changing KW or description in the last six months has become a standard since so many KW not input by the artist have shown up with no input. Also after submitting footage in the last several months there is a number that the KW don't save and there is no KWs in the data.

I totally disagree with P5 releasing the most used KWs, just my personal feeling that it leads to spam. I respect those who like them and need them, it's P5 decision so be it. Changing KW to match popular KW does indeed lead to spam as you questioned. Just like copying KW from others. KW review should happen with the quality check. Even other agencies talk about the spam here at P5 now.

In the past no views did suggest to the artists that he needs to review and ensure the KW are accurate and appropriate. Now the number viewed data is questionable so not really a significant indication that something might be wrong. If a file ceases to be"profitable" it is probably because someone else submitted a better similar product. In this case changing KW will probably result in spam like you stated.

@PerJohan - on the link you gave what do the tabs 'clickthrough' and 'sr views' mean?? sorry to be dim?? thanks - Jen

I have been asking P5 staff about this for some time, but haven´t got any answer yet!
Some artist said that # sr views has something to do with searches.
Hopefully some from P5 staff read this and could clarify?
