If you'd look at my portfolio you'd realize that my average price is well over 30$ but maybe you're not a good mathematician...however i don't need to explain anything and you don't have to worry about people undercutting you if think your work is such high value that you can sell a nothing special bird for 300$..

AND, now back to the GH4 discussion. Anyone sold a 4K GH4 clip here at P5 yet?

I think to have any significance the price has to be a "4K selling price" otherwise it's just selling an HD where the client got a 4K instead. I'm interested in finding out if there's a trend of clients being prepared to pay a premium for 4K.

I'm shocked at how many people are simply shooting 4K and selling them at their HD prices.

I did a test few months ago on another site that sells 4k...i uploaded 2 versions of the same file one fhd and the otherone 4k(they suggest to upload only the 4k and then they downscale it)...after 4 months the fhd file has been sold 8 times the fhd coming from the 4k version 0 times the 4k version 0time...do most of buyers searching by filtering out 4k version??

The other site will probably end up giving the best indication of the situation - but it will take a while. I don't know how clients search - I've actually never met one ;-)

My point is that if artists don't put a premium on their 4K clips then they have borne all the expense and the clients think they might just as well have the 4K even if they don't want or need it. I suppose it depends if the artist thinks this is a business or a way to while away the hours.

I can tell you guys that over the last two years I have sold many 4K clips at premium pricing. The professional production world has no issue with this concept. I have met clients and they love the fact that they can do so much more with this rez footage in post.
