Yes sony pricing for this camera reaches the borders of surrealism.Almost 1600eu in Europe.

Price differences between Europe and North America have always been high. In the past, it was sometimes worth it to ship goods from the US and pay custom fees / transport costs, but with the weak euro that option no longer pays off. The Sony is also 1600 euros here in the Netherlands (but companies can claim the 21% VAT that's included in the price).

Someone with both the RX-10II and AX-100 please shoot some photos using same settings and upload (un processed) for comparison. I feel the photos in the AX-100 are "almost" good enough for Facebook but not for professional or stock selling. I really like the idea of getting back to a dslr body with great photos and video ... like Canon used to be.

I'll try to get a test this weekend Don. I ended up picking it up at a local shop. I'm also curious how it holds up. So far I LOVE the menu and button customization.
so far, it seems like a noisy little guy, but that's me playing with it in my not so well lit living room this evening. Tomorrow is first sunshine test.

The RX-10 had some issues like 1) a useless wifi application 2) tendency to overexpose 3) no external battery charger 4) no external power input.

The Rx10 does offer external power and external battery charging if you buy the relavent available accessories from Sony or third party. I don't use external power but will buy extra batteries and external charger. I have been able to transfer photos via the camera wifi to an iPad but have not figured out the remote control via iPad yet. I think battery life is going to be an issue, not as good as the GH4, so another two to three batteries are going to be needed for a days shooting. One surprise is in video mode manual focus you don't get the magnifier option that they have for stills, only peaking available.

At this point im completely torn between getting this camera or waiting for the A7000.It will all depend on the iso performance of the rx10.If someone has tested and feels confident that iso3200 in low light conditions (where noise is the strongest) is usable please report.

@Normstock - Is the outdoors 4K video quality better than the GH4?
