Yeah that guy is the Panavision Senior Vice President of Advanced Digital Imaging too. Hes not some Joe Shmo.

Its ironic James Cameron likes 48p, but everyone on DVXforums, DSLR forums whatever have decided 24p is the "golden key." Hmm. As for the 4k thing I think some indis don't seem to understand the laws of perspective and how things that are far away appear smaller.

lol I set my friends DVR to 480p widescreen to allow more recording, and everyone who sees the TV thinks its HD. (because they are far away on the couch.) Yet indi DP people will zoom in 600% on 5d footage and complain about how the antialiasing doesnt let them see the particles of dirt.
*rolls eyes*

I love the cheats we can get away with. If people only knew. Funny I had a conversation last night with a buddy of mine and he started realizing there are purple fringes on his 7D vid... So I explained to him, best not spend money on all that stuff you want (matte box, rails, stedi-cam, etc...) and buy some good glass first. - then move on into the other goodies. For some reason many believe that having all the hardware wrapped around the camera will make for good footage. Here's a little secret... it's the glass..:)

Yeah he would be better off selling all his zacuto-ish stuff and buying one of these: http://www.uniqoptics.net/razor.htm

I just recently started getting accessories, but I have a lot of different lenses.

Some have more contrast, others are really sharp almost too sharp, some of them have radial blur (which is sometimes cool.) Others are blurry or have over the top lense flares....Its like the different lenses make it look like a whole other camera.
