New Canon DSLR

That is the original Scarlet which had a fixed lens and was supposed to be about $4,000
They scrapped that for the Scarlet X which has interchangeable lenses and is $9K for the brain only.
Nothing to do with the Canon other than Red decided they were not going to be able to compete with DSLR's which was why they scrapped this model and went with the Scarlet X

Now the "rumored" street price will be more of $13K That would be in the budget.

What will be the approximate price on Canon C? Hopefully less than scarlet

If you´re talking about the C300, people talking about a street price of:
Eur 12.000
GBP 8250
US$ 15.000
+ VAT for respective countries

With the C300 out of reach, stock shooters would need the Canon 1DX to go down to $5000 without lens to compete against the FS100 and AF100. BHPhoto says that the Sony EX1 is NO LONGER AVAILABLE. That leaves the Canon XF300 with the JVC GY-HM750 as only contender. Those who wanted to buy an EX1 will now have to look for a used model.

@luxor the Sony EX1R is the replacement for EX1.

Interesting, It was working this morning.
Canon must have taken it offline for some reason. Maybe it wasn't supposed to go live yet.
I still have it open in my browser so it plays but if I open another window it gives the private error.
Oh well, take my word the short was epic :-)
