Saw the comparison. GH4 better travel cam. BMCC better studio or movieset cam. GH4 better ENG cam. BMCC better lightning cam.

Conclusion: buy both.

For my ziess ef lens set, I will have to go with the black magic cam.

Same here. I have the Zeiss ef as well as other Canon lenses. So the BMC will be my choice.
Or if someone announces another 4K camera that takes Canon lenses.
Plus all my shots are studio so it will work better for me.

Sounds like BMC might be having a "minor" issue with noise in shadows ... if so that will affect studio and travel. When I use the BMC Pocket in a a more static situation where I have time to set it up correctly it does shoot a very sharp footage.

Um - what's the point of that? Looks pretty bad - and "only" in HD. Nasty blown out highlights, purple fringing, banding in the sky. Or am I missing something? I think not the camera's fault in this case.
