Got bounced out of bed one morning by the loud sound of a big helicopter flying low right over my house. Ran outside to see an Army Blackhawk settling down behind some trees just down the road. Grabbed my cam and jumped in the car.

Turns out the NC Helo Aquatic Rescue Team was doing some training, teaching how to pluck injured hikers off of nearby Crowder's Mountain. They were staging 2 Blackhawks and a Lakota helo in an open field near my house.

For 3 days I got some really cool shots!
