Newly approved exclusive footage

Yup I guess $60 4k and $30 HD is not exclusive and really devalues the Artist themselves as well as the concept. Little respect for the industry or business.

I also think that P5 made a big mistake by not increasing the minimum prices for exclusive content.

I'm sure i read everything from a to z when the exclusive was announced , being, Exclusive To Pond5 no other agencies is what they meant, correct me if i'm wrong?

When it comes to pricing, in the contributor portal there are guidelines on recommended prices of what customers are used to spending, $59 - 79 for HD footage $99 - 129 for 4K footage and maybe more to achieve for unique content!

I don't think for a minute that new contributors are in anyway trying to ruin the business or industry, they are just trying to find their way around in the business. I have the utmost respect for some really big names and sellers on this forum, you all started from scratch at some point in your lives, put the time and effort in and got where you are today.

The newbies are trying to do exactly that!!

Well, newbies seldom, if ever, listen to people saying "Don't price your clips cheap because they won't necessarily sell any better, when they do you won't make as much money, and you are devaluing the industry in the process."

It's true.

And Pond5 says they are trying to avoid a race to the bottom on one hand, and on the other recommends these crazy, industry-devaluing low prices for media on the other. Very confusing.
