Hi I just joined and I have a question, I used a canon 60d Digital Slr camera, I have sony vegas, and premier elements 10 as conversion software.... On this site it asks for clips to be converted to mov Files.. but which quality, should I use.... I tried a 1 minute video and played it back in quick time the quality was low well viewed at a reasonable size it was, so which grade of mov should I use Any help would be great.. Thanks David
can any other formats be used..... my 2 pieces of software cover a lot thanks.... David

Depending on how large your files are you can use quality setting between 75 - 95% using photo-jpeg. higher quality setting will increase your file size. You can also use H264 which produce smaller files and are accepted by P5.

I don't have 60D but saw in some thread here about rejections of clips from that camera because of non-standard 1920x1088 resolution - check if you have this problem.

The Canon 60D's all-new CMOS sensor records high definition video at a maximum resolution of 1,920 x 1,088 pixels with a 16:9 aspect ratio -- approximating what's sometimes referred to as "Full HD", or 1080i/1080p, although it actually includes 8 extra rows of pixels beyond the standard 1,920 x 1,080.
