polythene bag has harmful effects to the environment.....plastic bags tend to disrupt the environment in a serious way....it release toxic chemicals.

Thank you. I agree.

Mukesh, what toxic chemicals and what exactly do they do? Be specific as much as you can.

If this is news or at all startling to you, then this is an easily digestible place to start (there's lots more).

Miz, the question was not intended for you. Anyway the question was about chemicals, not a TV show.

I know. More often than not, of late, forum "conversations" are left unanswered. So, to fill the gap, and since it's something of concern, and a worthy topic: "How do we, as a global community, steer ourselves away from single-use, disposable, wasteful, and potentially toxic products to ensure best chances for a clean, sustainable, and happy future for ourselves, our progeny, and the animals and greater ecosystems that sustain us all?"

Why not? To shy away from the topic is sheer laziness. I like plastic too. Useful stuff! But encourage thought into a better solution for what it gives us. Every little bit potentially helps. And since I'm waiting for a render, might as well put in my farthing.

I don't have a problem with the topic. I just tired from ignorant people that are preaching me, and this is what happened with the original poster of this thread. This thread has to move to "Off Topic."
