Keyword limits????

Some time ago we were told to limit keywords to 25 or the search priority would be lowered. We were told that there would be an easy way to know which clips needed this prior to down grading priority.
There are probably dozens of new artists that are not aware of this requirement or request and many are using an abundance of keywords far exceeding 25. So us old timers are restricting the keywords and the newbs are not because they have not heard of this request and no automatic restriction has been integrated.
I think it's about time that important items that affect all of us are fixed.
Has there been a downgrade in search priority of excessive keywords?
Is this restriction still a requirement?
Is there a way to know which clips need fixing?
It's really not fair to the newbs to not know and have to make changes. And everyone should have equal priority on searches based on what we have been asked to do. Many of us with lots of clips have old ones with excessive keywording and I'm sure we don't want to be penalized without having a way to know what clips need revision.
Now we are still in a slower sales time of the year it might be easier to fix than when the summer doldrums ends.
What say ye P5?

OK, I didn't know about that but I am a newbie. The help files are not overly detailed and I have a lot of questions that I can not find answers to with out having to annoy people in the forums :-)
Any way that limit doesn't really affect me because I am way to lazy to type in anymore than a dozen maximum keywords.

I really think it is time for a P5 training section with elaborate detail. And if artists contribute to this, they should get some type of compensation. For example if training vids get made (I am thinking of doing a series of dirty tricks with Vegas for Clip sites) and posted, or if someone contributes some other step by step instruction and help, they should be compensated. A section such as this would not only help keep things "cleaner" but also reduce the mount of support time required from the P5 crew. Let's call it "preventative support". So here is the question to P5 - do you really want to kick all of your competitor's butts? This is the way to do it.

We have not downgraded any clips in search results for excessive keywords, because, well, we're running a little behind getting this implemented :)
What will happen is a) we will impose a hard limit of 25 for new clips submitted, b) we will notify everybody with excess keywords, and help out with getting them cleaned up and c) after a time period we may impose a penalty of some sort for those clips that have been blatantly over-keyworded.
If you are keywording your clips accurately, you've got nothing to worry about.
We'll keep everyone updated as we move forward with this. Apologies for taking so long.
And Vader, we are setting up a training section... feel free to drop us a line with any thoughts you have on that.

Thanks Tom, just didn't want newbies to not know about earlier notice and have to make hundreds of changes. Thanks,
Don

shedli - I will - I am working on a few concepts and ideas, once I have them somewhat formulated I will run them by you. Believe me, I know it is not something we will produce in 1 day. :) It will be quite some work - but in the long run I think it will be well worth it as it can also be used as a marketing vehicle.
