Includes audio

Had quite a few videos rejected due to

I usually click No on the "Includes audio" option. Does this delete or mute the audio for you?

No, the audio is embedded in the video file, I don't usually have sound in my files, not even wild tracks, ambient sound is normally rejected, if it was a car engine revving or somebody diving into a swimming pool etc where the sound is an important element than add the audio to the clip.

So the only answer is to remove the audio in edit and then export?

@milescooper just re-encode the clip with the audio output deselected in the render settings, I use Shutter Encoder which is quick as you just drag your file into it, select your codec and de-select audio output and press the start button.

Many thanks for your help. Its a shame they can't just ignore the audio if it's subpar or remove it for you somehow.

They would probably have to rerender it themselves. There is no easy way to just remove audio from a video without re-encoding it.
