ccd vs. cmos sensor?

:) That's great Jason. I've tried the same thing. Rigged my tripod in the car with the camera hanging out the window and I had relative success. (with a cmos sensor). The bumps in the road did make the image go wacky though.
I went through a toll booth that way and the attendant thought I was crazy. She is probably right.

I also have the Gro Pro HD Hero. It is real bad with rolling shutter jello. I've used in on motorcycles, ultralight aircraft and vehicles ... I am very unhappy with it when attached to a vibrating motor. This is not the case as bad with other CMOS type cameras but is apparent in almost all of them to a certain degree.
