What are the required fields when editing a submission?

When I go to edit a submission, under File Information there is this text:

*required fields

But none of the fields are flagged with the * to indicate a required field.

What are they?

Instead of doing your file editing in the edit page, do your edits in the upload page instead, add your title, description and your tags, click on the price that is already there, it will either be $25 or $50 if it is footage and change your price to whatever you wish. That is the fastest and simple way to do get your files ready for curation. If after you have done this you can then click the 'edit' radio button and do a little more (this is the page where you are seeing the flagged error) which should have cleared if you have done things this way round. It is difficult to advise because we can't we can't upload screen shots here so this is why I suggest doing your tagging this way. The interface here at Pond is really antiquated now and needs refreshing and updating I'm afraid.

Another tip for you, if you have Adobe Bridge you can pre tag your files before uploading to Pond5, if you fill in the fields

Document Title

Description

Keywords

in the Bridge 'basic' tab all that information will be uploaded with your files and already filled in when your files have completed uploading, you just need to set your price afterwards, this is the system I use as it is easier to archive your files and keep the tagging data with the file if you have to move your files about on your system, this works for Adobe Stock too.

Thank you for your replies but they do not address my question: What are the required fields?

FYI, I am not seeing any flagged errors. All of my files include descriptions and keywords in the metadata. Document Titles are being filled in automatically.

As far as I can tell, the only required field might be to select either Photo or Illustration.

I am still waiting for my first batch of photos to be approved. I suppose I will find out from the curator if I have omitted a required field, once this first batch is reviewed.

I see, the only required fields are Title, Description and Keywords. All other information you add is not required. It is up to you if you want to add any information such as 'Country, City, equipment, software etc. As above if you use the 'upload page' to do your edits those fields there 'Title, Description and Keywords' are the only required fields you need, it's up to you if you want to change the default pricing.

If you have successfully sent your files for curation you have correctly filled in all the required fields, because if you didn't you would have been 'flagged' stopping you from sending the files for curation. As long as you see the 'successfully sent' in the outbox all is well.

Yes the 'required fields' are not highlighted though which does make things confusing first time around.

CHDigitalMedia -- Thanks, that was very helpful. It's good to know that the files cannot go through to curation without the required fields.

The only time a file was flagged and stopped it was because I did not check either Photo or Illustration.

So it seems that we can add that to the short list of required fields.

Hi there all, new contributor here with a similar query. i've just sent my ID in yesterday for review and advised to start uploading straight away so i have, but still waiting for ID confirmation.

once the required fields are completed how do we submit for review??
i've got the message (needs edits) under the status tag. all required fields are complete. thank you in advance for any assistance and sorry if i'm missing something that's obvious. i thinking my ID may well be the problem.

Hey paulhampton104,

I have approved your ID, you should be cleared to submit your photos. To submit your files for review, go to the edit item page by clicking "edit" on your uploads page, then click "save and submit for review" on the bottom of the page.

You can also select all the items you want to submit with the checkboxes on your uploads page, then go to the bottom of this page and find the "Actions" menu. Make sure "submit" is selected, then click "execute." Your items will be sent over for review.
