V2 - Beta issues

1. Load times are extremely high on the home page. It seems to be loading a ton of stuff to "preload" functionality. However, this is not obvious as to what it exactly is loading.
2. Artist Resources - Where are they?
3. Widget, Affiliate links page... loads very slow as well - too much overhead coming down the pipe and the large image doesn't seem to help much either. The badges and banner stuff is cool though.
4. How are "trending bins" determined? In real time? By sales coming out of bins? How?
Again, this is overhead on the "Search" environment that could be shown after the fact.
It seems there is just too much going on on the screen at any given time.
There is the footer area that doesn't work (pull up fails on the double arrow but works when you try to select a new bin)
However, if a bin has lots of stuff in it, and it happens to be the last bin viewed, the pages really slow down on loading. This seems to be the problem all around. Perhaps simple bin icons would suffice on the sidebar or footer and only when clicked on does it load anything from a given bin or perhaps better yet, just go to the bin.
The whole fancy schmancy drag and drop thing is cool for the cart, but may also be problematic regarding loading overhead as it would need the bin to be loaded as is now. The drag and drop mechanism is cool though and seems to be a trend that many are starting to use for shopping cart models. :)
Backend - Tagging System:
The only thing that really urks me is that the "Includes Audio" button does not get copied when one copies tags from clips. On top of that, it defaults to "Includes Audio - Yes" That is totally backwards as footage most of the time never includes audio. I have asked for this to be fixed months ago and still no response. Starting to get concerned if P5 even pays attention here.
Why do a beta if no one listens?
Other features on the back end seem to be just dandy - haven't seen any hard issues or failures. I have used the features on the list format for editing as well as all the back end.

I totally agree
the new version is too slow, things should run smooth these days..
There are some more glitches,
1. I can't change profile settings except for the contact tab.
2. Since I'm a contributor and not a buyer, the Nmbr of downloads on the artist page is misleading.
It says 85 downloads but I've sold a lot more than that. We not show the Nmbr of sales for contributors?

3. Small glitch:

I'm still using the old version but I will try and use V2 to see if there are some more problems

This should be well past a buggy V2 Beta by now. Overlapping screens and text etc. Like Vader said "Why do a beta if no one listens?" or at least acknowledge issues that P5 programmers agree with. It sure would save a lot of duplicate suggestions. Maybe a P5 Program thread (no input from anyone else) listing what is being worked on. No need of beating a dead horse over and over if P5 disagrees or is working the problem.

I suspect we'll see Artist's Resources when SSL is turned on, since that is the only way you can see them now.
If you haven't noticed, trying to add https:// vs. http:// calls a Socket Connection Error response.
I think they've just turned on portions of the backend for us to see in the beta "only" if you're logged in i.e., uploads, overview etc.
And I must add my $0.02 to the loading issue.... WAY too much going on ladies and gents!
Less IS more - keep it clean. Please!

Maybe a separate log-in site for buyers and sellers. Sellers just need a clean fast interface that shows stats, uploads etc. The buyers side can be more of an upgraded selling / marketing site with the bells and whistles.

Hi Vader I still get the socket connection issue when using https:// with :1234 now that they have made more changes, I can use https:// with :1235
But of course the bottom line is no Artist Resources
