I´m in a process of updating my exciting camera, the 7D to a full frame DSLR. I have been holding off for the 6D to arrive, but after reading this: http://www.cinema5d.com/news/?p=13402#more-13402 I´m not sure about this camera any more!
Looks like it´s major issues with moire and aliasing when watching the vimeo video. The test was made with a pre-release camera so hopefully things have changed before they released it.
I will wait and see for more reviews before I make any purchase. Maybe put another $1.5K and go for the 5D mk III instead?

I would say yes. I was reading about it also, and there were more issues than the savings granted.
In fact, I may even get the 5d2 first at its now low price, but that is also because I love the m2's form factor.

BTW the 5d mk 3 will get uncompressed hdmi output with a firmware upgrade april next year. As I understand it it will be a clean 4:2:2 8 bit stream. Hooking up a Nano flash or Hyperdeck Shuttle 2, will certainly make this a killer regarding video quality!

A new comparison shootout - Canon EOS 6D vs Canon EOS 5D Mark III vs Canon EOS 5D Mark II from planet5D
The moire in the telephone wires and the brick wall from the 6D is really annoying!
Full frame shootout

5d3 is a pretty slick cam. I still have the mark ii, but thinking about upgrading.

I kept both the MK II and MK III. MKII is now my backup body.

These quick and dirty tests are pretty worthless. Before jumping to any conclusion, I would like to know what the settings are or were regarding sharpness, contrast, Satruration/color, etc.. (most likely at default as the guy writes that they "didn't have much time and he can't remember if they even looked at that" - see text under video description) It seems every Tom, Dick and Harry are pretending to be experts when they really aren't and are spewing totally useless information in the process. I know for a fact that by changing certain settings we can remove moire even on a T2i! (Thanks to Jason that has been thoroughly testing this stuff in depth) - So I would not base any opinion on some "run and gun" guy(s) that really don't seem to know what they are doing. Just my take and opinion.
