Uploader Methodology

Hi,
What is the procedure for using the Java uploader? It appears that the file is uploaded, but that it needs to be processed.
The uploader states that it is "Completing Upload". It has been like this for the last five hours.
I understand, from what I've read, that there is a backlog...OK...while not happy, I can deal with that. But I'd like to turn off my drives and my computer! Can I do this without screwing something up?
Thanks!

Hi Mizamook
Once a file has finished uploading via Java or FTP, it's automatically transferred to our preprocessing server so we can create the low-res preview and extract basic metadata for our collection. If the file is staying on your screen, then you may have uploaded it in an unapproved format, which means it cannot be ingested by our preprocessing server. Alternately, if your file is very large it may take a long time to process, depending on your internet connection. To start, please take a look at our https://www.pond5.com/it/document/video_requirements.html and make sure you have prepared your video correctly.

OK, thanks. Strangely enough, the file finally did show up after refreshing my Uploads screen, but the Java Uploader window never changed or went away. It is true that the video was prepared and uploaded in .m2t format, so maybe that freaked it out. I will answer for that in response to the replies to my other question. In the meantime, the file has its keywords and attributes all set up and has ben submitted for review.
I will probably use Filezilla next time.
Thanks again!
