Pond5 Publishing

Hello!

I not sure I'm understanding how P5 Publishing Works! I read All documentation on the P5 website and FAQ but still in doubt! I read a lot even on the internet but people were very confused there too.

FAQ states writer and publisher share 50 % 50%, then, the 50% of the publisher share, will be split 20% for P5 and 80% to the contributors?

but from this 50%50% split between writers and publisher, we have to cut even a fee for the PRO right?

Let's say a PRO takes 25%, then the remaining 75% will be split 50% 50% between writers and publishers, right?


And if we join the Pond5 publishing, we will be paid our 80% publisher royalty through Pond5 and 50% writer royalty from the PRO, right?

And What if I want to upload the same tracks on other libraries that have no Publishing service? In this case, I have anyway to upload and register those tracks on my PRO by myself, there will be problems since the same tracks are registered both from P5 Publishing and by myself on the same PRO?

I try to explain
Writer share 50%
Publisher share 50%
=100%
Out of publisher share you'll get 80% and Pond5 20%
If you don't have a publisher you will only get your writers share which is 50%
Let's say you sell a track from a library without publishing which is broadcasted then you'll never will get any publishing money, just your writer share.

It's called Lazy Publishing, very popular in NY jazz crooner circles.
