I have a question that I can't find the answer in the Faq:
if I sell footage for editorial use, the license is suppose to be for one single project - worldwide and forever- or multiple projects?
The buyer can use footage under the editorial usage license in more than one project?
Thanks

The buyer can use it in multiple projects forever.
Worldwide
This is for editorial or non editorial video.

Oh that's a no sense for a filmmaker. I am going to delete my footage editorials. Thanks

I guess you’re new to selling stock?
That’s the license, royalty free. Buy once and use forever in any project.
What you want is rights managed, which is really not selling any longer.

If you sell general footage it's fine. If you sell archive footage it's not ok selling material for unlimited use. For this kind of footage would be better license like to one they use with Reuters. Otherwise why I should sell here historical footage? no sense.

@ Infootage, Maybe you should have done more to find what the differences were between royalty free and managed rights licenses before becoming involved in stock footage.

Jason, maybe I have a clear idea how to menage license use of my archive, and that why I won't sell any archive here.
It's a perfect place to sell generic footage, but not footage from 1930 for exemple, or historical events.
Royalty free means that the footage won't generate any fees connect with the distribution. You get your fee once. And that's ok, but the idea that you sell a footage and the buyer can use it in many different productions, for ever, i feel it's completely unfair.

I'd suggest putting a "I really don't want to sell it" price instead of deleting.
Sell your videos for $500 or $1000 if that's what you think their worth. Either people will pay for it if they need it or not.
Not sure what Reuters pays or what you may get in residuals or even if they are in the market for this stuff a lot that would offset you not selling on other platforms.

Hi everyone, I don't know if this is the right topic to ask a question.
A few months ago I started uploading my videos to POND5 too, but unlike other sites, where I sell clips daily, I sell very few clips here. I wonder if this is normal or am I mistaking something?
Some of you with more experience could look at my profile and tell me what the reason may be. Thanks in advance.
