That's reasonable. Got one for your reply though. Works nicely. Thanks a lot. :)

I also have tried wrapping the AVI using MPEG Streamclip or QuickTime Pro and when I played the file, in both a stand alone player and from the timeline in Sony Vegas, the quality was bad, bad, bad. After trying with a few of my clips and getting the same results, I took the .mov file dropped it on the timeline and then rendered it to an AVI. Lo and behold, the quality was great, looked like the original. I have come to the conclusion it is just that Windows handles .mov files badly. The clips look great on the Pond5 site.

Hi Duane - if you can, please upload both versions (AVI and MOV) of the same clip, and we will take a look to compare to make sure there is no quality difference.
BTW, have you tried using the "save as" function in Streamclip, rather than "export"?
Has anyone else had this experience? If so, what software and workflow were you using?

shedli,
When I was originally seeing this "problem" using both the "export" and "save as" functions of Streamclip, I then bought QuickTime Pro. QuickTime Pro conversions looked just as bad. That is when I tried re-rendering them back to AVI's in Sony Vegas 7 and saw that they were just fine. I then used the "save as" function in Streamclip to make all the conversions to .mov files that I have uploaded to this site.

I've converted my avi file to MOV using premiere CS3 and there's a quality loss... I've tried to convert it using streamclip...and it looks a little better...
may I ask to the tech people to have a look and letting me know if it reach your standard?
it would be great to have your feedback...
