Hi all,
does anyone know if there's a software (free preferred), where I can tag the clips before I submit?
... and, this one's for the pond5 folks... if I do tag the clips before submitting (if this is even possible), will your software recognise and keep that data?
I do this for photo stuff with adobe bridge and it saves a bit of time.
Thanks to all
Nelson

Hi,
Does adobe bridge populate http://wiki.multimedia.cx/index.php?title=Apple_QuickTime#Meta_Data?
We looked into this a while back but there was some reason this didn't seem like a good idea (I cannot remember why right now). This might have changed. We'll keep our eyes open.
From our part, what is needed is a program that works on Linux, in a command prompt, that can extract headers so that our program can automatically put these into the database. We haven't found any good such program yet and I don't really want to build my own since the api:s of open source multimedia libraries tend to be rather unstable and it's a mightmare to maintain a program that is depending on them.
Please note that any program with a Graphical user interface is useless to us since we can't use them in an automated process.
Best regards,
Marcus

I'm also using Adobe Bridge. Does anyone know why the title and description show up fine...but the "tags" or keywords don't?

I use Final Cut X to add all my keywords, description and file name when I export the final clip. Pond5's system recognizes all of it and immediately appears once uploaded to them.

I use Adobe Bridge and the keywords do work on upload.
