Tooltips etc

Hi,

We are changing some of the Javascript frameworks on the site to Yahoo's http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/theater/. The immediate changes are the tooltips; f.ex when you mouseover the i in search results and when you mouseover the i in f.ex My Preferences.

Other irrelevant changes include the very usable indeed postit note (click on the yellow box near your name if you are logged in), which now is a moveable window.

Should anywone have any problems, please tell us. It would also be nice if you'd include https://www.pond5.com/it/index.php?page=sysinfo&what=http_headers.

What does "f.ex when you mouseover the i" mean ?

How do you 'f.ex' ?

When you say "it would also be nice if you'd include http_user_agent." could you explain why ?

I looked at the link and it was some kind of ancient Mayan code, why would you want us to include this in any reporting of problems ?

Marcus sometimes forgets to turn on his machine code -> English translation interface, and manages to provide maximal information density with minimal intelligeability. Alas, this is the price one pays for working with a superhumanly brilliant cyborg time traveller from the 26th century.

Anyway, here's a rough translation:

f.ex = for example

Mousing over the "i" on the search results page (next to the cart and clip bin icons), or the "?" symbol on your https://www.pond5.com/it/index.php?page=my_preferences invokes a little info popup. We've recently changed the way we display the popup, so if you run into problems with it, please let us know.

The info on the https://www.pond5.com/it/index.php?page=sysinfo&what=http_headers indicates the browser you are using and other capabilities of your system. It is very useful for troubleshooting bugs, so it's a good idea to cut-and-paste the info there into any emails you send to tech support.

The Postit note he's referring to is the ridiculously un-useful and soon-to-be-abolished little yellow square next to your name in the MyPond side box. The idea is to have a place to keep notes about... um... stuff. Definitely not an essential feature, and ripe for the axing imho.

Hope that kind of clarifies things... the Marcusese pocket translator is coming soon, btw. In the meantime, I'll do my best to translate. ;)
