Upload Interface Resume ... thank you, and please improve!?

I have a crappy internet connection. It's slow, and subject to interference by alien spacecraft and solar emissions. It's been ages since I've uploaded, and I've noticed two things: The web-based uploader seems more likely to "fail" due to connectivity hiccups, but, happily, it allows "Retry" which is great, as I have to do it several times per file sometimes, and at least once for any file over 500MB (which is most). I love that I can resume. Thank you. I only upload one file at a time, otherwise both fail too frequently.

Might I ask if it is possible to enable "Auto-resume" function? To automate the "Retry" feature?

That would be swell.

Thanks!

Have you looked into Elons space internet?

Have you tried the FTP option using a free client such as FileZilla? It'll auto-retry.

Rekindle: Yes, BUT "Not available in my area yet". (stay posted on that ... next year or two).

GSFootage: I used to use Filezilla reliably. Haven't tried on MacOS (my now option) but it was failing a lot, and found the web-based more reliable especially considering I'm slow (5-10 clips a day) at this speed anyway, it's not a big deal, but FZ was mucking it up something awful with Hughesnet.

As it is, I had a relaxed evening and suddenly I'm almost all caught up, so need to tag a few and make a few more to upload tomorrow. Not a huge deal, but would be so cool if the web designers could make it easier remembering some of us are still in the dark ages with internet. : )

Just an idea:
Can you send a disk to P5 once every few months?

I used to. Royal PITA, and killed the dynamic fun nature of the process for me. True that most of my clips are not time-sensitive, but the way I work is pretty much fit-and-start, fickle, etc. Given the size of sendable drives, I would always be faced with "when do I stop filling it with clips?". The Upload speed is just fine for me, really .. I work a lot slower than many. In fact, if too many are uploaded and I have to tag a lot at once (like more than three) I tend to spend less time with each clip, and as we know, tagging is really really important.

But to constantly have to check an uploader is a pain, (could be using time more creatively) and "once upon a time" when Filezilla worked for me it was fine. Now, a teensy tiny augmentation of the convenience factor in the web uploader would make the whole thing a breeze.

Hence my post/query/request.

I understand the timelines of the clips, but when the drive travels to its destination, you may slowly prepare your CSV.

True. Been there, done that. "Slowly" being the clincher there. And also ... when I'm done with a clip, I'm done. I need to be moving on to whatever's next. There's always something waiting, or about to be shot ...

Better for me to feel OK with a very variable market/sales if I can work when I please - not have giant tasks to attend to. IT's getting harder to give up big chunks of time and focus.

Sounds like I'm rebuffing all the great suggestions. I've had slow internet the entire decade+ I've been doing this. Always a challenge, and I've tried a lot of things to avoid the painful parts. In the end, again, it's not a big deal. I was just asking in case the designers of the uploader interface might not have thought that maybe somewhere in the world there are people uploading at 1-2Mb/s (with hiccups ... the connection, not the persons)
