I thought the "norm" was single shots?

Seem to be seeing a fair few sequences selling such as:

Some of them clearly make sense such as:

And some are understandable such as:

But I thought it was supposed to be "shots" and not sequences?

Or has this changed?

Thanks

Some of my own sequences do seem to sell better, when contrasted to my own similar footage up for sale. There is a check box on the upload form for sequences - so there is no recommended norm. More value for the buck (for the buyer) and another way to provide good value - if you need to be competitive on the topic. If not, there's no point giving away multiple sellable shots.

Hey TE, thanks for the post about this!

Our official stance is that we prefer single shots rather than sequences. Single shots make it easier for the buyer to quickly find what they want, and are likely to generate more sales than sequenced clips.

However, it is up to the Curators to determine what sequences will be accepted, and the curators will occasionally make exceptions and accept certain sequences if they deem them appropriate.

If you or any other artist feel that your clips would sell better as a produced sequence, then we'll be happy to take a look at them.

I agree fully, single shots is the way to go. I love that concept as typically stock is used for only a few seconds at a time anyway. :)

This is one of mine, and I needed multiple shots to 'tell a story'. I think it is worth more this way. (although it has never sold here haha)
