Hi all. Considering signing up for the subscription model on my account. Anyone have data on income before and after selling this way?

I didn't realise you could opt out of the subscription model?

afaik, subscription (in the new form, started some months ago) is obligatory - one can't opt out (aside from removing portfolio).
if u didnt see any "subscription sales" line in your financials by now (in any month), then it would mean u made no sales through sub, so far. the sub sales are not a fixed amount per month, it varies.

He’s not asking to opt out but to sign up.
But that said I don’t know if that’s a thing.
They selected videos to add to the subscription.
At one time I made good money here but now it’s just a few bucks

Signing up for a subscription model is not the key to new found wealth. Unless you consider $1 per sale to be real money

I think it depends on your point of view. For me, 2023 is shaping up to be year of the subscription model. One of my subscription sites is practically doing all the heavy lifting for me this month. Looking at my stats, all other traditional marketplaces are way underperforming compared to previous years. Due to the strikes? Who knows (but probably). But I think, at least for the time being, social media outlets--like "Youtube creators"--are the only ones producing new content regularly, and I bet those types prefer subscriptions when they need b-roll.
And I don't know about you, but I find myself watching more Youtube than traditional "linear" television these days, and I see a bunch of my stuff (and other artists' clips) there. Is it as good as selling a one-off for $200 or as "glamourous" as licensing a clip for use in a movie, documentary, or network TV show? Of course not, but those customers just don't seem to be as numerous as they used to be. And with A.I. breathing down our collective necks, we need to prepare for more hurt.
