I have a couple of questions about use of Pond5 music on YouTube.

1. Can I monetise my videos with use of Pond5 music?
2. Is it buy once and use in as many videos as you want or is it only one time use?

Thanks.

Hello Theydomedia, thanks for writing it.

You can absolutely monetize your videos with Pond5 music. If you have any trouble with the content being flagged (which can happen sometimes), make sure you respond to YouTube with a copy of your receipt and a link to our Royalty-Free License agreement, and you'll be good to go!

Anything you buy from us is covered under our royalty-free license agreement, which covers you for worldwide, perpetual use of all content purchased from our site!

Let us know if you have any more questions!

Hello Ryanp5, you said i can use pond5 music in our youtube production ( in my case animation production) that is so cool!!! but i have a question: This is from 3) Restrictions on Use: e. Licensee shall not incorporate the Licensed Content into a logo, trademark or service mark without explicit written permission from either Pond5 or the copyright owner

This mean that when i create my animation for youtube, i cant place my logo/watermark to protect my video? I will appreciat your answer please, because we are a group of animation who for a long time wanted to buy lot of music from this website, but we are so afraid to do it cause the royalty term is so complicated. We could hire a lawyer but that require money.

Thanks in advance,
Judy

You should be fine to put your logo on the video to watermark it. Basically the music you are using is for the animation, not for your logo. I am a music producer on Pond5 and personally I think it would be 100% fine to do that. I think the #3 restriction is for like using the music as a type of jingle for your brand when your logo or whatever is used. Kind of like how NBC plays that little 3 note thing when it's brand is displayed. I hope that helps and I am sure someone from Pond5 will answer your question for 100% certainty. Thanks for in advance for using Pond5 for your music needs and have a great rest of your day!
