Please recommend a barebone video editing software

RAM is fine. I don't have enough hard drive space. There are other programs including Adobe and Topaz AI, which also need a lot of space.

Choosing the right video editing software can significantly impact the quality and efficiency of your editing process, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional. There are numerous options available, each offering unique features and capabilities to suit different needs and skill levels.

For beginners looking to dip their toes into video editing, user-friendly software like Adobe Premiere Elements or Apple iMovie can be great starting points. These platforms provide intuitive interfaces and basic editing tools that allow you to trim clips, add transitions, and incorporate simple effects without a steep learning curve.

On the other hand, professionals and advanced users often opt for more robust software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, or DaVinci Resolve. These tools offer extensive features like advanced color grading, multi-camera editing, and sophisticated effects that cater to complex projects and professional standards. They also integrate seamlessly with other software and workflows, making them ideal for large-scale productions and collaborations.

When considering video editing software, it's essential to evaluate your specific needs and goals. Factors such as your budget, the complexity of your projects, and your familiarity with editing tools should all play a role in your decision-making process. Additionally, some software platforms offer subscriptions or one-time purchases, so you can choose a pricing model that fits your budget and workflow.

For those looking to take their videos to the next level, leveraging professional video editing services alongside powerful software can be a winning combination. These services not only provide access to skilled editors who can finesse your footage but also offer insights and techniques that can elevate the overall quality and impact of your videos. Whether you're producing content for business, education, or entertainment purposes, professional editing services can help you achieve polished results that resonate with your audience.

In conclusion, while the choice of video editing software is important, the ultimate goal is to create engaging and compelling content. Whether you're editing on your own or partnering with professional video editing services, investing in the right tools and expertise can make a significant difference in the final outcome of your videos. It's about finding the balance between functionality, creativity, and efficiency to bring your vision to life effectively.

personally (but im an amateur) i switched to "lumafusion" app (mobile). so much easier and convenient to color grade and see the result on the phone itself (which is, for me, the main display destination on which the videos will be watched anyway, so i like it better than grading on a non-adequate or non calibrated lcd monitor). no more premiere subscriptions (which i had for some years). i did try kdenlive for a while, but i didnt like how it handled color grading because something seemed off... (but it is free).

there was the price of the app, which i think is some $35 or so, and then i was good to go. and now i can color grade sitting in my bed or wherever i might be :D very convenient.

i would mention that it seems not to support 10b422 for now (they told me some months ago that it will come soon, if i understood correctly), but it does accept 10b420. i film in 10b422 and neatvideo them and export 10b420 and bring the file in luma. after the grade, i apply some retro vibe with another app - "super 16" app.

another drawback of luma would be whitebalancing, but i get around it and its not such an issue.
