I have recorded a nice video in full HD format with a mirrorless olympus omd em5 and i want to submit it to pond5.
but i have to remove the audio from the clip and resave it...
how should i do it?
which programs do i require??
i normally use virtualdub but it says i don't have the codec!

Hi Bosone,
Get MPEG Streamclip from www.squared5.com
open clip > Edit > Delete Audio track > File > save as
That's what I do, hope that helps.

I tried many methods to remove audio from video, after comparison , I find iDealshare VideoGo is the best solution which can remove audio from all kinds of video files like MP4, AVI, WMV, MOV, 3GP, MKV, FLV, and etc.
Step by step guide at http://www.idealshare.net/video-converter/how-to-remove-audio-from-video-mkv-mp4-avi-mov.html

movavi can remove the audio and keep the original video frames without modification of the original video frames, for MPEG4 and H.264. so the video quality will be identical to the original.
the other thing you can do is set the volume of the audio to 0

For me the best tool for it would be FFmpeg. It's fast, easy, doesn't modify video stream and works for all input files.
Instructions:
1. Download and install it (https://www.ffmpeg.org/)
2. Execute following command:
"ffmpeg -i input_file.mov -vcodec copy -an output_file.mov"
Parameters explanation:
"-i input_file.mov" - specify input file
"-vcodec copy" - copy video stream witout reencoding
"-an" - remove audio stream
"ouput_file.mov" - new file name
*I know this topic is a bit old, but as nobody mentioned FFmpeg I decided to write about it, maybe someone finds it useful.

Like Videostock50 said, MPEG Streamclip is the best and free solution. Just select no sound. That is it.

I accidentally uploaded a lot of clips with audio that's not important, and likely to cause it to "need edits". Is there a way to remove the audio within pond5? OR is there a simple way to re-upload the files in a batch without losing all my keyword and title work on each clip? There's close to 1000!
