Best This week / Best this month

Tom or Marcus ... ya still awake?

It doesn't appear that the Best this Week resets on Sunday night or Monday morning. Maybe same for Best this Month?

Maybe I'm wrong, but some of the Best this week have 1 sale total on the clip page and the sale was listed prior to this week.

Would be great to have the week and month reset Sunday at Midnight and midnight of last day of month. Give a much better idea to us artists what buyers are really looking for real time.

Thanks,

Don

Hi!

I think that everyone would be happy if we could sort these 'Best...' pages by any column. And I guess that headers of these pages actually are 'Best for P5 this week' and 'Best for P5 this month'.

How about new page 'Best ever'?

Don:
The cached statistics were only updated once a day because they are somewhat heavy for the db. Perhaps you were looking at the stats and saw the same cached value? Anyway, I changed it to be updated every 12h instead. The actual time is not important, it only matters that it's not run too often.

Zygis:
I'll try to get a nice javascript solution to do the sorting.

If you just click the search button and sort by # of sales you sort of has this already. We could add a sorting option to order by total sale as well. It's a 1/2 h fix to add it as a separate tab on the stats page though, if that is more convenient.

I'm not really sure what these best ever stats would be good for since all clip are uploaded at different times and if a 2 year old clips has generated twice the money that a 3week old clip has it sort of doesn't say much.

Best regards,
Marcus

I guess what I was expecting is that when the new week or month starts all sales go to zero and a new count is started. It appears to me that it is a running total in the last seven days and last 30 days. I personally would like to see the list go empty at the start of the week and build as sales are made therefore populating a new list each week and month. Am I right that the list do not get reset to no sales each week and month?

Yes, it looks at a window between now and a week/month ago.

I felt this was the most interesting view of the data - to show you the general trends. If someone asks "what clips sold most the last month" and they are told to go to the artist resources page just when the month is shifting over we're not helping them out very much. That was the idea at least.

The sorting is done by the way, it will go live in about 18h.

Best regards,
Marcus

ok, yup understand. Sorting sounds good, I guess it will sort by date of sale also within the last seven day or 30 days? Thanks Marcus.
