List of approved cameras

Maybe a good idea to have a list of approved cameras that are acceptable here at P5. Then a contact link where new artists can ask about non-listed cameras before they start to upload substandard quality. Off course we all want only the best quality footage here at P5. With P5 rapidly becoming the footage leader we do not want to scare buyers to other sites.

Instead of random discussion about CMOS versus 3 chip CCD versus Nikon D90 a list of what is acceptable will really help. I know many are wondering about the Nikon D90 and many believe it is not at the quality level required for HD clips better than web based. Same goes for the New Canon 5D MKII which by all reviews easily exceeds quality standard.

I know that many use older cameras, in fact I have sold clips here that have the appearance of an old movie using an old Sony camera. I do not believe it is suited for normal clips but as a nostalgic look it seems to work for some buyers.

I also submit to some high level digital photo agencies, they have a list of acceptable cameras and will not accept anything that is not listed. I think this would help all of us.
