No more keywording!

Hey all,
I'm just curious how many of you don't like keywording/captioning? Some people probably enjoy it but I'm guessing not everyone :)

I recently left a job overseeing metadata and distribution for a stock footage company and am giving it a go as a freelancer.

Anyone here want someone else to worry about the keyword writing so you can focus on making great images? Reply or PM me and let's chat.

Cheerio!

I hate it. My wife loves it so that works for us.
The problem I see letting a third party do keywording for us is security since you would have access to our account.

I really don't mind keywording. I feel it is as or even more important than the actual shooting and processing. Giving control to the most important part just does not make sense. Bad keywords equal no sales.

I agree, key-wording not for the weak hearted. I just wonder what weight to give to each box... For instance, I attempt to place both highly popular and off-beat keywords in the title box getting the heavy hits and people searching of stranger search terms, seem like you can work it both ways to get hits. I use https://www.picworkflow.com/research/?lang=US&search=street%20fight to graph and select my titles. I gave up thinking I was key-wording for human beings awhile back, which helps, as the only thing the human being - the searcher - sees ultimately are the first 3 or 4 words above the thumbnail. The descriptive text box mysterious, don't know what weight it is given, but it's seems really also for the search bots as I experimented with external to Pond5. For the tags, I use the Microstock tool above, as it allows multiple words in the initial search compared to the a Acurrs tool. (The Acurrs tool allows you to build more keywords combinations sand save them, handy sometimes.)
