I nearly purchased the Sony RX10 for the video alone but the stills isn't that great compared to a full frame. I know the video isn't the best on the A7r compared to the RX10 but if it is still good enough for here I think I will still go with the full frame A7r because the image quality is outstanding.
Has anyone here got an A7 or A7r ?

Is the video on the rx10 better than video from the normal aps c nex series? better than from a nex 7 or a nex 6 for instance? It certainly looks like a great camera with a wonderful lens.
And is the video better than the small rx100? They share the same sensor, don´t they?

Yes but the lens on the RX10 blows away the RX100. The video quality is pretty much as good as the GH3 by all accounts and no moire.

Thanks, that´s good to know. I have a full frame alpha 99 in the studio, but I don´t take it with me outdoors. So i have been using the sony nex7 with zoom lens combo, but the RX10 is an even lighter package. I think I will rent it for a week-end to try it and then see if I can get one in the summer when the prices go down.

I got mine for £679.25 which saved me a massive £200 from the going price. For me that is worth the price of the zoom lens, let alone the other features.
