Is it really that good? http://hitfilm.com/
So little documentation on this thing.

Very nice, thanks for sharing.
I think we're going to look at this further, and the reason why this is because having come from Lightwave and now starting Cinema4D for 3D objects into AE, I like the ability to work under one roof, and if this does that (it gives the impression) then we render film and 3D compositions in one bake and then do final touch ups with AE. That in itself is worth every penny.
Not to mention the ultimate version of this, cost as much as one of one AE plugins and this has everything we're looking to.
I think if holiday break we're try the trial, see how it compares.
Thanks for sharing.

I am downloading the demo. I do have the cheap version Hitfilm 2 Express but it only outputs to mp4/h.264 so I never use it. This one is 4k ready.

I can say this. I have a Gateway I7. Adobe Premier CC runs much better, smoother than Hitfilm Pro. Hitfim Pro looks jumpy during replay.

Interesting,
I know Adobe applications are written for Intel instruction sets and NVidia CUDA cores, do you think this is anything to do with Hardware/software compatibility?

I have no answer for you. Vegas Studio, Vegas Pro, Adobe Premier, AE, Adobe CS3, and now Adobe CC (test version) runs fine. The window replay is smooth. Hitfilm replay is a little jerky.
