Hallo
I like to know your opinion if it is safe to surf in hotel with VPN? Instead of buying Sim card or USB stick for surfing, surfing in free hotel internet with VPN may be a good solution.
Any idea?

use an encrypted VPN client and server and you should have no problem.

So long you avoid online-banking or else what should happen? Must not open any sites where banking or credit card informations are stored and visible if a little big brother is watching. ;)

Where do you guys get your information? First off, a VPN is a virtual private network. Hence the connection is private and encrypted no matter from where you are connecting as it creates a "private tunnel". Second, why would you use that unless you are connecting to perhaps your home office or something? But it wouldn't server a purpose for just "surfing". Third, get yourself some decent protection (anti-virus, anti-malware etc.. Trend Micro does this very well), Fourth, what makes you think that a Sim or USB stick are any better (more secure) than a hotel network? Fifth, any online banking/credit card processing is typically done in encrypted mode (look for a secure connection starting with https://), if not, then fire your bank or don't use the website! Big face palm on these answers given. Common sense and proper answers are more helpful than false and useless information guys. Yes, to answer your question Patuwe, it is safe as long as you have protection such as anti-virus, malware etc.. installed. Just as it would be anywhere else.
