What's the best video tripod with head under $200 USD? It doesn't have to be with a fluid head.

I have a Benro that I like a lot. it says S4 on it. it has smooth movements, and you can place the camera close to the ground.

I bought this on the advice of the web site Cheesycam.com a couple years ago and now I own 3 of them (one of them is a lighter version). I also bought the 717 video head for use on my slider.

I use the Manfrotto 701HDV and very happy with it.

May i ask what camera and/or lenses you plan to use this tripod with?

I mainly use a GH3. The heaviest lens is a 14-140.

I'll +1 for the Manfrotto 701HDV. I use it on my tripod (came as a Manfrotto kit) and my Manfrotto monopod. Can easily support an EX1 and is perfect for a GH3/4. B&H has a $45 rebate on it until the end of the year too. I think the 701 might no longer be in production and was replaced with MVH500AH.

Thank you.

Thank you ..... too

MVH500AH is better that the 701.
I have 2 of these on monopods for event shooting, and although they support up to 4 kilos,i can attest that they can balance a c100 with a canon 70-200 2.8,a very heavy setup.
As for legs, try the manfrotto 3 section flip lock aluminum legs that used to go as a set with the 701 head.Dont remember the name, but they are cheap and reliable for your setup.
