How to put DVD collection into MKV for mobile devices?

I got MakeMKV to put my DVD collection into MKV for use on notebooks and tablets that my wife and I use, but it lacks of the encoding ability. I remembered I tried Pavtube ByteCopy a few years back - and the reviews I read seemed to indicate that a business capable of supporting it was in place. What else would you recommend? Any advice is appreciated.
