Automatic keywords trash

Oha, if new and also if lazy artists will use the automatic keywords the all together Pond5 content will become chaos and very un-attractive for customers. I think it will be the best for Pond5 to disable the automatic keywords system. Even if unexperienced artists have to use their brain and dictionary for keywording, it can't become so much terrible like this automatic keywording. Maybe sometimes it will work well, but only sometimes is not acceptable.
See my example and result with auto keywords :(

nature, background, color, light, art, water, decoration, tree, beautiful, illustration, image, plant, design, season, nobody, summer, dark, tropical, garden, artistic, forest, night, pattern, flower, deep, outdoors, animal, space, stone, leaf, creature, travel, fairy, peace, texture, wild, fairytale, park, fantasy, grass

Hi Beckhusen! Thanks for your feedback! We are actually closely monitoring the exact issue you are describing, because we also raised this question prior to our launch.

Happily, our artist community seems to (so far) pay good attention to the automatically suggested keywords that we provide and delete a lot of them (around 50%).

We are sending all feedback of all removed (and manually added) keywords back to the neural network to learn over time. We will also likely implement some improvements in the UX quite soon, based on feedback from you guys.

But in your case above, I must sadly admit that the result in terms of suggested keywords were quite bad. Hopefully it will improve in the future. I hope you also noted that there is an option in your settings to completely turn off the automatic keyword suggestions.

I've also noticed that the p5 review team is very active in reviewing the words, and I've had some clips rejected for not having terms that they thought were important to the scene. Keep up the good work!

For me no problem. Usually i work with templates which i apply before i open and edit the file. After template applying all automatic keywords are off (and that's well cause i won't have to delete so much words).
So or so, even if the system becomes better by time the mass of wrong keyworded files online will grow. And last not least there will always be clips where every automated system must fail (like my example) because a neural network can only work objective, but not subjective, what means it cannot descibe the sense of the clip, with other words the emotion or feelings.
It's often better "not to fall in love with an idea" ;)

I think the idea is great. The system needs to "learn" for the next several months while off line. I've tried it for a bunch of various subjects. I need to delete well over 50% of the suggested keywords. I'm afraid the lazy artists will not do this. I also use template or batch type keywording and it does not work at all this way. Let the system learn in silence for a while and not muddy the system with spam. The more not removed words the more the system will believe they are really good suggestions.

Is "background" useful? I just ask cuz it's in all of them. Same with light, really - if there wasn't any light it would be black.

I still find it to be helpful. But I check them too.

And I don't worry about lazy/spam artists so much. I worry about the quality of my own work. Makes me a lot less uptight. Let P5 police the bad people.

I will never use the P5 automatic keywords.
