Static white dots when making nightsky timelapses

My 550D as reliable as it has been proven, will show pixels especially in hot weather if the shutter speed surpasses the 20 sec mark.So maybe try higher iso,800 and 1600 for night stars timelapse works for me but only if i downconvert to 1080p for noise reduction.
If you need 4K night sky timelapse then get a 6D or a 7DmarkII.

Old camera, Pat, i have it since years. I have tried it with high iso and also with low iso. Nothing changed!
In the YT clip you can see the white dots at 1080p and higher in the dark part and left corner before the trees.

So or so i'll buy a new photo camera beside my AX100. Think about the new upcoming Panasonic 4k or FZ1000.

Panasonic G7 is a small brother of GH4.
FZ1000 is a good alternative too, no need to change lense, but 37mm wide only.
LX100 is small, but 28-80mm (?).
Nothing is perfection, really.

@Beckhusen it should work because Canon has an implemented pixel remapping.
Watch these videos and try again:

@Daniel The video is good and easy to follow. I tried it several times with up to 2min, but the dots are still there. I also changed the lense, but no success. :(

@Pat Maybe for the G7 anytime later a adapter for Canon lenses will be available? So or so, i need a 2nd camera with 4k video mode for looking more inkognito. ;)

@Beckhusen could just be a dirty sensor which remapping nor electronic cleaning is not going to work. You could send it in to have the sensor cleaned or buy a cleaning kit and do it yourself. Using a cleaning kit is simple and less expensive then sending it in.

@Jason Maybe, my last hope!

For the moment thanks all of you for your help, i go in holidays now for 1 week to Austria, Hallstatt. Will care for professional sensor cleaning after return, because with self-made kits i have no good experience, always more dirt after than before. ;) But maybe i try it again in between, for nightshots it can't become so much wrong!

Stefan,

Salzkammergut? Nice relaxing, easy driving place with lakes around you.
