Now, that's something what i note since a longer time and i'm sure several customers have the same problem and may leave Pond5 to other sites because of this. It's a bit difficult to explain it in english language for me, but i'm sure i'm not the only one who note this big problem.
When i click on a video link and open the clip page, the video (shockwave player or flash player) run well for one time, but that's all. After this one run i see only a white field, the player is running, but no video. When i stop the video and start again (and it's not possible to start the clip from beginning) nothing changes.
That means when i wish to see the video a second time i have to reload the complete page in my browser. I never noted such problems on other sites.
No wonder that sales are more and more bad when basic functions of the site are not working as they should!

It happened all the time like this. I thought it was normal, until now you said that.

Yes beckhusen is right. The worst is that the video preview can't loop, and most if the times it is very choppy as well.

The desktop experience with viewing clips is currently horrible , and sometimes requires several refreshes of a page to view it properly. I think it may have something to do with HTML5 coding.
I noticed last week that for the first time, I could view a clip on my Samsung Tablet, but that sucked as well.

Wow I thought it was my machine. I figured it was an out of date plugin or something. This is about as critical a problem you can have on a site like this.

It's been this way for awhile. Video only plays good the first time. Looping is a problem. You have to refresh the page to get it to play normally again, but it will only again only play right once.

Has anybody an idea wha Pond5 don't care of this?
The problem with the player isn't new and as it seems everyone of you thought it's your machine?

We totally care, I promise. I've been speaking with our team about this just today. Rest assured, we're always watching and listening. In the good way, not the creepy way. :p
There's always a lot going on at Pond5. There's bugs that need squashing, problems that need fixing, features that need upgrading, and the list goes on and on. If we could do it all in a day, a week, or even a month, we absolutely would.
We're aware of the problem with the player, and we're working on a solution, but it's going to take some time for the fix to happen. In the meantime, we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. :)

After years of "cloudy", "muddy" previews maybe time to at least match the viewing quality that most all other agencies are using. Would be great if the buyers could see a clear, sharp, vibrant preview unlike what has been the standard. Just a thought ....
