Some of the first footage I got with my new DJI Phantom 3 - Niagara Falls

Just wanted to post up to share this because I think its pretty sick, went to Niagara Falls last week and had a beautiful day to fly my new quadcopter over the falls. There's also some slow motion stuff mixed in that I shot on RED. Let me know what you all think!

Beautiful shots. Well done. I'm amazed that they allow flights over the falls. I imagine there is probably several in the air all day long.

Honestly when I got there I thought flying over the falls would be a no-no for sure. But after about 20 minutes of shooting on a tripod with my other camera I saw 2 other drones fly over the falls and nobody seemed to bat an eyelash. So I went and set up right in the open so that it was very visible - so anyone who had the authority to tell me to stop probably would before I even got airborne but nobody came and said anything. At one point while I was flying a security guard came over and just asked me if he could see the screen. Canada for the win!

My big concern was that there were real helicopters flying overhead the whole time and I didn't want to disrupt their flights, but they were like 300 feet up all the time, whereas I never went much higher than 100 feet.

Well, he'll make more than enough off the clips to pay for it. Sometimes cameras are just disposable ;)

Great Work! I guess I don't need to take my Phantom over Niagara Falls, SkywardKick already has the best shots. Maybe I could take my gopro and floated over the waterfall that would be different shot lol.... Now only if I could find a way to find it after it goes over?

May be mounted your GoPro on the forehead, and you climb inside the fall. Sure it is the Genius footage and guarantee sales. LOL
