Sony A7Sii

It's not shipping yet, right? Does anyone own the A7S? How do you like it?

Since the A7Sii records 4k internally now, I'm thinking about switching from the GH4 to the A7Sii.

Motion Poland has the a7s.

A7sii seems to be exactly the same with a few tweaks but the main being internal 4k

$2800 in a few months. Will you buy it? Will you get more sales by using this camera? Or wait for the competitor's new cheap model?

Don't forget to double the price: lenses, batteries and a lot of memory.

I shoot a ton of sports at night and even with really good stadium lights, I have lighting issues. So switching to a better low-light camera is more for my day job than microstock. But, it would allow me to shoot some stock stuff without carrying around so many lights.

The big question is going to be about the overheating. I shoot a lot of stuff outdoor in extreme temperatures. I'm thinking of getting a 4k camcorder for my longform stuff and using the A7Sii for shorter specialty shots and microstock.

I am also enamored of the full-frame. I miss having better DoF as the M43 sensor on the GH4 doesn't do a lot with my 2.8 lenses.

if you already shoot Sony emount it isn't much investment besides camera body. It uses the same battery as my rx10ii and sd cards. You can get a meta bones too for $400 and use all your canon glass.

I'm gonna start off with an adapter for f mount 50mm Nikon (adapter is like $40). One crap thing is the ND filter is external. I'm getting a 77mm filter with adapter for various lenses I have. That's $170.

How's the jello effect on the A7s I / II? Im using a BlackMagic 4K with Global Shutter and Im still pretty impressed by the footage quality. But a lowlight camera would be great too.
