Excerpt from the company website:

What is the Light L16 Camera?

The Light 16 Camera is the first multi-aperture computational camera. The L16 makes it easy for anyone to take DSLR-quality images, and is small and light enough to fit in your pocket. Light’s technology combines folded optics with sophisticated computational imaging algorithms to deliver the highest quality images from the smallest possible device.

May be all Nikon, Canon, Panasonic plus Co. can fold up their business, cause we don't need so many lenses and camera type.
Amazing!! But how much is this camera?

## $1,300- (discount already)

Yeah the retail price after launch is set at $1700 USD. This reminded me of he first time I saw the Lytro Illum. Great new technology that just needs to gain momentum.

It does to video (max 4K) but only from a single camera so you don't get any of the extra features like post DOF. I think it's just a matter of time before we see this technology for moving images.

I think this is a much better camera than Lytro, this can produce very good quality, upto 52mb, plus supporting software. There will be a learning curve though. When the price come down to under $500, is interesting. Even better to combine with a smart-phone. They are planning this in the next next camera for sure... Price must come down ...
