HOME SERVER

With today's technology and internet speeds can you easily turn your computer into a server and sell direct from your hard drive?

Maybe the question is too wild.

Not too wild, I think ... possibly a little suggestive, but if you have cheap electrickery and a fast connection, why not? I knew someone with their own server ... it was a separate machine with lots of drives and on all the time, and they did things (access/control/update) to it with their laptop.

Sure as hell can't do that here .... our internet connection is updated with stone tools.

Server is only a smaller problem, you need advertisement (or engage lot of social network) so customer know you and buy from you. There are already custom-made software/site for this sell stock (video n photo) purpose !!

You are out of the civilization of quick internet. Move back to city is the only option. ;)

That's the dream, right... Sell direct to customers and keep all the $$$ for ourselves.

The problem is you end up spending so much time and money on finding customers that it's not cost effective and it takes you away from producing new content.
