Now that Premiere Pro CC can export 4K using HEVC h.265 is it accepted at P5 (and other agencies)? Looks like by specs it's better than h.264. What is your feedback Jonathan and the rest of the tech savvy Artists? How is quality compared to h.264 and ProRes?

Just did a test 4K 20 second file.
HEVC h.265 is 104 MB
PJPEG at 94% is 1.86 GB
ProRes 422 is 2.47 GB
Both PJPEG and HEVC display on windows explorer thumb. ProRes does not.
Playback HEVC looks great on 4K monitor.

I have zero information about new formats being accepted right at the moment, but I'll be sure to let you know what I hear.

I uploaded a sample and it showed up with a thumb. It was a duplicate of a ProRes clips I uploaded this week. It does show a much slowed data rate than ProRes so might not be a great option for editing.

It's heavy compressed delivery codec...not good for editing...
