Hi
I guess i am not formatting my CSV from Excel properly. Because after decommaing the standard file from Pond5, i get an error that the columns are not recognized when i try to upload them.
Basically, Pond5 cannot understand their own columns as i get the error that the file is not decommaed.

Anyone able to immediately spot my error?
I have saved the file in decommaed CSV.

Saving as Open Office gave me a different error.
Mind i am still using the default downloaded template originating from Pond5 itself, so i am using all the default columns.
Info: My pid: 10182
Info: Db: 13/1
Error: Any of "clipid", "originalfilename", "originalfilenamestart" or "namematch" must be defined to be used as a key.
array(1) {
"pk"=>
int(0)
}

Pond5 Save As procedure does not say Open Office, but as "Text CSV". But in Windows Excel i cant do that. Only Text Mac or Text MS-Dos.
I re-downloaded the CSV generated by Pond5 and saved as Open Office. Gave me same error as above. This is super frustrating :-(
Why is not normal Excel file the industry standard already?

It's a server problem or more specifically they are having some SQL database issues it looks like.

This is essentially a text file but you can use use Excel or the free OpenOffice to work on the data in a spreadsheet mode which is much simpler way to work with mass data than our on-site system.
Pond5 says i can use Excel, so im using Excel. No need to swamp the computer with too many programs.
Cactii: Hope so...

Hey alanxalves383,
If you have any questions about using CSV's, you can read the section on the Contributor Portal about tagging with CSV's called "Adding Metadata in Bulk Using CSV": https://contributor.pond5.com/getting-started/preparing-your-files/. There is a sample CSV template there you can download and use.
Our support staff can also assist you with getting the CSV dialed in, so please don't hesitate to reach out at support@pond5.com.
Cheers,

HeyRyan @Ryan
In downloading the CSV I noticed the CSV does not contain the downconvert prices, the CSV also does not contain the duration of clips, nor the bit depth or file-type/codec information, all of which would be very useful to have in the downloaded CSV…
Thank you,
Andy
