5D II retirement question

Has anyone reached the 150,000 limit of the 5D II?
What happened? I guess nothing?
How are you going to deal with your aging camera, especially on long trips?

Have you tried and talk to her? Did she said anything?

Good point, ionescu. Now let's talk seriously. I am going to shoot in a remote location where FeDex has never gone before. Do I have to spend $2500 on a backup camera at this juncture just because my camera does not want to retire?

I wouldn't do a shoot down the street from my house without a backup camera let alone remote location.
Aging camera aside, a new camera could break.

Your backup camera doesn't have to be another 5d. You could get a 7d or one of the less expensive cameras. But low light issues become a problem once you buy less than the 7D.

I learned to take 2 of everything when I shot weddings and other venues.

I use my 5d for time-lapse. I've had over 500 000 clicks on the shutter no problems at all. shot 80 000 images on this current USA road trip.
My previous 40d took similar clicks again no problems..

500,000? That's gr8! Have you ever submitted your camera for fine tuning at the shop? I have to do it once a year.
