I just found this review on the HV20.

.
So I have the HV20 and pleased but was/is ready to upgrade to the Canon XH-A1. I believe that anyone using asmall cam mike the HV20 as a pro at a wedding, event, product shoot will look out of place, unprofessional and unprepared .... mainly because of it's small size. Yes size matter in the mind of customers. So has anyone done a side-by-side comparison (everything being equal except camera) between these two. From all reports I can find the reviews are very favorable to the HV20. Yes I know the sound will be better with the XH-A1. So on a basic video that does not need indepth technical processing, how much will the quality of the video between these two. many thanks,
Don

THE VIDEO QUALITY WILL BE REMARKABLY BETTER THAN THE HV20, BECAUSE THE THE QUALITY OF THE INTEGRATED LENS. I AM A STRICT CANON USER FOR QUITE A WHILE. IRONICALLY I DON'T LIKE HIGH-DEF VERY MUCH AND I AM USING GL2'S AND XL2'S. IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR AN AMAZINGLY WELL PRICED HIGH DEF CAMERA LOOK ONLY TO THE HVX-2000 WHICH PRODUCES 1080P IMAGES AND TRUE 24P AND ADVANCED FEATURE SET, YOU CAN BUY IT FOR ABOUT THE SAME PRICE AS THE XH A1. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.

I might just be saying this because I literally JUST purchased the HV20, but I feel like if a client says something like that you just say "wait till you see the final product" and they should shut up.
