Predict my Earnings

Hi guys,

If you had to make a bet on how much my (video) portfolio could earn at one top agency (let's say P5) in one average month, what would it be?

I uploaded my video portfolio only a few months ago so I presume its much too early to tell, but in one year from now, what would you guesstimate my current portfolio to be worth? Would it be too hopeful to expect an average income of $1 per video clip per month?

All of my clips are 4k, most are aerials, many have male/female models (with releases) and they were all shot on the paradise islands of the Maldives.

Please be brutally honest guys - what will the portfolio be worth when it has been online and in the P5 search engine for 12 months? $2 per clip per month? $1? $0.5? $0.1...?

Go on please, hazard an educated guess, hit me with a number you feel is a good bet.

No clue what you could make. I don't know how vacation/ beach type footage sells.
But I would say $1 per video is probably not going to happen.

My question to you is this. Is your entire portfolio of 7200 clips all beach?
I don't have the time to go through it but it seemed it is.

I believe to have a portfolio that encomposes all the same subject will hurt you in the long run.
If you search for "beach" or beach, vacation" it returns back with over 200,000 clips. So already there are a lot of that subject.
Your videos are very beautiful but like I said to not have a diverse portfolio won't hold up well.

No problem, thank you for your honest answer. Yes I live in the Maldives and am lucky enough to shoot here every day. It's true all my clips are the same theme (beach/sea/sand/islands etc) so I tried to shoot every clip differently, from different locations, with different subjects in different light etc. So what do you think? Only a few hundred dollars a month due to the repetition? Im just trying to get a number in my head so I can make some calculations and future plans. Thanks

I couldn't guess how much as I said I don't know what the market is in your type of videos.
but I'm sure with 7200 clips it would be more than a few hundred dollars. Just not $7000 by your $1 per video

Anybody else have a number?

You've put a lot of work in just uploading alone. The clips won't be mixed up with the US West coast including Hawaii. The clips are positive and well done but similar in that they all say white sand, blue clear water and a pretty model. Now the question is how many movies, advertisement, or documentaries will need product? Are you just telling one story? I've never been there so I wonder if there's a town with people doing something? Is there any wildlife? Do people get sunburned and what's their story from there? Do hurricanes devastate the area?

Good luck on your goal, we all look for the key and i'm usually wrong several times a day. Greg
