Banding/strobing on fibreoptic lights

I have watched many tutorials on how to get rid of banding with videoing under lighting and for the life of me cannot get rid of this when trying to make a macro video of a small common battery operated fibre optic lamp that slowly changes colour.

I have shot in 1080/60,1080/50,1080/30,1080/25,1080/24

And have tried all shutter speeds and everytime I get banding/strobing to some degree.

I give up.

I bet Flicker free would take that out. I've had great success with flickering in video with that.

Yup, flickerfree is the way to go.

Too expensive for what it is.
